The world's first national park--Yellowstone--has some of the most unique hydrothermal features in the world. As I read the signs about the fascinating features, I realized that we only experience the overflowing beauty from the heart of our planet because of cracks, fissures, and other imperfections in the earth.
Isn't it the same with us? We see what's inside a person's heart not when all is well and perfected on the outside, but through trials, challenges, moments of weakness, vulnerabilities, and imperfections. If cracks and fissures create the beauty of geysers, hot springs, and mud pots, why waste time "fixing" imperfections?
I enjoyed the wildlife from afar. I only had one incident of buffalo on the road, but managed to put a vehicle between me and the bison to mitigate my vulnerability as a cyclist.
