The Journey Begins Now!

The year 2022 marks 30 years since I left for basic training and first raised my right hand to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. To commemorate, I set out to experience places and people across the nation at the speed of human-powered travel. I saddled up my bicycle and loaded my camping gear for a 4K-mile adventure from sea to shining sea. From the mountains to the prairies, I visited the communities and souls that motivate my service. I learned more about the history, richness, and challenges of the USA than I ever did in school.
